New paint job for '14 GT

Hey there guys! Within the next few months I will be purchasing a 2014 Coyote and have been trying to nail down a color choice I like for the paint job. I know I am going with an asymmetrical stripe and my body color is limited to Black, Blue, or White. Would love some opinions. Note that in this drawing (done by me) the grey stripes would be silver like on the old Shelby GTs, the light blue is more of a powder blue (like on the Gulf livery) than the Grabber Blue, and the off-whites are Wimbledon White cause that color is sexy.

Why not do a vinyl stripe on the color you have now? Paint on a 2014 is the biggest waste of money ever.

Bottom left for me.

Sorry I wasn't clear, I don't have the car yet I'm just doing some planning for when I do get it. I prefer paint to vinyl because it's hardier and wears better, why do you say paint is useless on a '14?

Because it's a fresh paint, but I was thinking you were going to change the color completely. If you're adding only a stripe it will cost more than vinyl but not as ridiculous as a complete paint job. I'm assuming now you're going to pick your base color, buy that and add the stripe then?

Agree with solid color. You may not want the stripe after purchase or as famine said add it later

I have an Oxford white 14 and I believe I am going with silver stripes. Your white car you have looks like off white. If your not planning on painting the entire car a different white you might want to change the color on your design. It will make a huge difference. Oxford white is like Hyper white.

Here is the difference. Performance white is on the left, Oxford white on the right

I didn't realize the 14s came in an off-white. Was that just the V6s or the GTs as well?? Not that I want to do this but what is the cost for a full body paint job, anyone know?

The 14's don't come in the off white or performance white. That pic is a 13 in performance white and 14 in Oxford. A full color change paint job done right will cost you 4k at least. It's a ton of work to be done right. It requires the car to be disassembled in many ways. Door handles, mirrors, plastics, trim, lights ect all have to be removed. Doors trunk and good have to be jammed (painted in the door jam areas so you don't open the door and see a different color). It's a huge job. To do right.

Yeah I was being conservative at 4k minimum. If I'm being honest it's probably 6-8k the only good thing is it needs little to no body work.

Shame to hear a full repaint would run so high. I would love to have a Stang in Wimbledon White. Why do you say its a waste to paint a '14? It's a great car.

It's not that the car isn't worth a repaint, it's that your taking a perfectly fine paint job and dropping serious coin to change it. Doesn't make sense unless your just stupid rich and can't spend all your money unless you repaint brand new cars

Painting a car with 1-2 year old paint is a waste of money because the factory paint is really good and likely in 9/10 or 10/10 shape still and its $$$$$ to do it. Get the color you want and put a Vinyl stripe on it. If you really really really really like the stripe then you can remove it when/if it gets buggered up and have it painted on. If you don't like it you can just remove it.
