Waterlogged car after heavy rain - solution?
Last night, I drove up to Fry's Electronics to look for a new desktop computer. During the drive, it began to rain ridiculously hard (I was hydroplaning every 500 feet). By the time I left the store, there was a flash flood warning in effect. I ran to my car and started it up- which it did with no issues. I noticed my headlights/taillights and the lights of my radio, AC knobs, gauges, etc. would not work. My steering wheel also locked up along with the shifter. After about 30 minutes stranded in the parking lot, everything began to work. As I drove home, I noticed my car felt sluggish. I attempted to drive it today, but was forced to take it home immediately. It was terribly unresponsive. I attempted to give it a bit of gas, but was given only high RPM's and a slow acceleration. I have an X-Charger installed, but my car was speeding up far slower than even a stock v6. This all happened during and after the rain- so my car is waterlogged in some way. If you guys can give me a heads up as to what the water has affected, please let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
