weatherstripping nightmare

I just put a new convertible top on my daughters 2000 V6 mustang. I am going to have to replace all 6 pieces of weatherstripping (3 pieces on drivers side 3 pieces on passengers side) and I have searched and searched and can find only the center piece of weatherstripping. I even called Ford Motor Company and they couldn't help. Can someone tell me where I can get all 6 pieces for this convertible top?

Tried jc whitney. No luck there. Haven't tried the junkyard, yet. I was going to do that as a last resort. I've tried cj pony parts, late model restoration, jc whitney. I've looked until im almost blind, lol!!! What i don't understand is why you can find whatever you need for earlier models like '81-'93 but nothing for a 2000 model.

You can buy the stripping, just a matter of cutting and gluing

Have you tried an upholstery shop? They'd have the same issue if they were replacing a top and weatherstripping, so there must be a solution out there.

late model restoration has the center piece only for a 2000. they have the other pieces for 01-04 only. that being said, someone posted a review on their site and said the 01-04 pieces fit his 95 so i may give that a try.

All the weatherstripping should be the same for 94-04.

the product description used on the late model restoration web site says due to minor modifications in the frame on the 01-04 models the pieces they have wont fit 94-00 models.

Sometimes I hate Ford lol... you should see what 1998 owners have to deal with basically having a car that is half 1997 and half 1999.

Hit the junkyards or online forum classifieds is all I can say. I just paid $35 shipped used in good shape for a piece of weatherstripping that is $130 new from Ford or $90 new aftermarket. There is no shortage of 94-04 cars in the scrapyards and the V6 body is the same as any other Mustang body from the same year.
