Which one do you wish you had back

I thought it would be an interesting subject. Of all the Mustangs you have owned, which one do you wish you had back. I have owned 9, my first a '73 Mach 1 HO 4spd. But the one I wish I had back is a '65 Shelby GT350. I bought it from an old guy in '76 for $2000 and sold it 3 months later for $3000. Granted it needed paint and a little work, but what could I sell it for now!

I wish I had my 2011 V6 Manual Transmission back. I went for a 2014 for the looks and features but it was Auto. The Select shift sport mode is no substitute for good ol' clutching and shifting.

Mine isnt a Mustang. My current is by far my favorite of the three. If I could have one car back it would be my 1985 Firebird. Thing was a hunk of crap But looked cool. I had some custom stuff done to it and a great stereo. Broke down all the time but it was when I was 19-21 so... well i am 40 so enough said lol.

Which one do you wish you had back

Still have my first and it's not leaving ever. But I wish my grandfather kept this one...

It's real and it's a factory four speed. It would've been perfect if it was a 69. But still it is an awesome car.
This was at a car show. At that time my grandfather already sold it. The current owner took it to this show. Before moving away. He won best in show in his division, mustang classic.
But one I nearly bought and wish I did was a 95 Cobra R, 1,200 original miles, God that thing was gorgeous.
I bet Ubnbit would want his 97 cobra back.

I've owned several Muscle Cars, but the only one that sneaks into my dreams was my first car, a 1969 Mach 1, 351W Auto and all the amenities. She was hot Stuff in 1971.

Not mine, but my mother's Rio Red 99 Cobra vert is what hooked me into Mustangs. Nothing like rolling through town in a cool car when you are 18-19 y.o.

I know the butt dyno is a terrible gauge, but the Cobra was simply a different car than my GT. It was supposedly not one of the underpowered models of that year but received Ford's upgrades anyway.

The car would flex side to side in third gear and howl all the way to the redline, simply awesome. I wish I could replicate the sound of the Cobra exhaust on my GT. Only thing I disliked was the truck shifter (that helped my mom tear her rotator cuff actually).

I was in school when she sold Cobra and could not have begun to afford to purchase it. I looked long and hard for a similar model last year but could not find any clean low mileage versions for what I wanted to pay.

An 01 Cobra with 44k miles sold near Pittsburgh for $12k last... I want to say it was Spring 2014. Mineral Gray, charcoal interior, real nice list of properly done bolt ons and garage kept.

They're still out there, you just have to keep a sharp eye out and if you want anything nice like the one above you'd very likely have to fly out/drive back or have it shipped. I would have bought this one sight unseen and had it shipped it was that nice.

I've only had one other one. I do like the black I had on it, but I'm happier with my ghig I have now. I just wish I had the blower on this one that I had on that one with the gears and suspension I have now. Live and learn.

Yep, something like that was exactly what I was looking for. Although, I am glad I ended up with a low mileage auto GT. My wife and I use it for a summer commuter car and our kids love to ride in it. We have put 10,000 miles on it in the last year already (got it with 20k).

If I had ended up with a Cobra I probably would have walled off a section of the garage and never driven it. With the current GT, my plan is to do some tasteful minor mods, drive it a few years, then likely get a good price for it when it has 50-60k if I feel like something new.

1998 Cobra vert. It was a fun car, and wish I had it back.

I love my 14 GT but the amount of work done, looks and memories make me miss my '95 V6.

Thanks. A lot of blood, sweat and money went into that car. The current one will get the same treatment in due time.

The car I wish I had back is my old 92 gt. That car got bolt on after bolt on after engine build for 5 years, when it was done it was fun and always had people starring and asking questions and lots of thumbs ups.

I would really like to have my 2007 Saleen Parnelli Jones back... But it went to a good home, and the new owner loves it as much as I did.
