I drive mine year round, with snow tires for cold below 45 degrees. I'm in Kansas. I had a 2014 v6 convertible last year and now I'm driving a 2015 GT.

All day everyday even through Winter in NH. 2014 GT. Who am I saving it for!?
I always get a laugh out of these "Harley guys" 20 grand to buy a lifestyle but then only ride on sunny weekend days.

Tire salesman always try to talk me out of snow tires because they think they are only good for snow. My 14 convertible had no trouble accelerating or stopping all last winter. Dealers would tell me "you can't drive a mustang in the winter". Good snow tires below 45 degrees average are all you need. Now if there was just an easy way to keep it clean all winter!

Fair weather only. Garaged from late October to Mid-March. I avoid rainy days, but got caught in a couple of freak thunder storms in May. Car did not shrink, it survived. Have put about 2K miles on it since mid-March. Love driving it, but plan on keeping it for a very long time...

Not only is mine a daily driver but it's my commuter car. I drive her around 700-800 miles a week for work. I figure I'm going to spend 3 hours a day in a car, might as well be fun and enjoyable. People think I'm crazy, I think I'm genius. I can't understand why people WONT drive these newer cars (anything that's not ACTUALLY a collector car like pre 1973 and a few other super special models) in the rain or a cloudy day. Enjoy the cars guys. That's what they are made for.

47K miles , have car for 4 1/2 years. I didn't buy the car to sit in my garage and collect dust. It's meant to be driven. If one can only find 2k miles of nice weather yearly to drive the pony, you live in a crappy area. 😲

I'll be taking her on a 2k mile round road trip this September half across the country. Can't wait.

Have a great day!

Lucky enough to have a fun car and a truck. If I only had one it would need to be a truck or at least it makes dump/Lowes/kayak runs easier. My miles are split evenly between the two but don't take the Stang out in rain and sore it for 2/3 months in CT. I had it for 2 years B4 I drove it in the rain. I was pleasantly surprised that not only did it NOT melt but, when you adjust the intermittent wiper speed faster it is smart enough to give you a wipe as soon as you turn the lever. My Taco just sits there till the new time elapses......Go Ford!

I would gladly trade that feature for less rattles but still enjoy driving it.

Drive it every day rain or shine. It's just a mustang, no need to hide it in the garage.

When the salt comes out on the roads here... nope. Well that was for my 98. I would drive my truck if it looked like heavy rain but after the salt went away in the spring I'd drive the hell out of that thing. This 2000 will become a daily if I end up getting orders somewhere warm.

year round! Only reason I wouldn't drive my baby everyday is if I had the money for another and a McLaren in the garage. I could see a rotation lol

This.

If I can daily drive it AND show up at car shows as a spectator and get more attention than the garage queens then who's got the better car?
Anyone can buy a brand new car, add mods by spending $, keep it parked and have a show winner. But?
More than likely when it's time for a newer one, this one is traded at a dealer. They won't care if it never been wet. If I have a clean car fax, receipts and it passes the initial looks sweet test, then I'll get comparable money out of it and the pleasure of knowing I drove it. Not polished it.

Mine gets about 6k miles/year. It is never driven in the rain unless I get caught by surprise. It doesn't melt but it sure takes a lot longer to clean it afterwards. Stored from November to March. It's like getting a brand new car every spring!

Every day, couldn't justify a second car as I figured one would just collect dust. Like others have said, unless it's some special production model or something it probably doesn't make much of a difference, might as well enjoy it!

There's a difference, IMO, from a car "collecting dust" and just not wanting to drive it in real bad weather where having a car with a ton of power or handling is kinda useless.

Obviously not everyone is going to afford or want to maintain multiple vehicles but at the same time a Mustang is one of THE most impractical vehicles there is and early-mid 2000s trucks are real cheap these days if you need a winter/bad weather beater or just want something you can actually take to Home Depot and get something decent sized.

Look into 03/04 Expeditions. Dime a dozen, lots of creature comforts and run forever. I love mine. When it finally dies I will be trying to find another 03/04 Expy or Navi with lowish miles.

Daily driver or weekend toy?

Sure, I guess my qualifier here should be that we have an Odyssey for all practicality needs, that's my wife's car. Mustang is my daily driver/commute. If you need something for more practicality then I agree with that. For running to Home Depot/lowes though I'd argue their $20ish rental is the way to go for a few times a year (or more) that you need it unless that's what you do for a living.

Also, I live in South Carolina, so it's more reasonable here as a DD than northern areas.

Where at in KS? I lived in Scott City for a year and am moving to Atchison this fall.

Mine's a daily driver, put 20,000 miles on it the first 50 weeks I owned it. At first I wouldn't drive it to work, but it gets twice the mpg's as my truck and believe it or not, I'd rather the Mustang get dirty instead of my truck.

I drove my Mustang as a DD when I had it. The Vette is gonna be a fair weather toy. I have a little Ranger for beater duties now.

Daily driver. Try to keep it clean but the dust, dew, and everything else really takes its toll on the car and finish.

I live in north Texas and we just had the wettest May on record. We also had several ice/snow days last winter. Drive all of mine all the time, usually for a week at a time each, then swap. Even with this, I still show them with good results.
