Tough question... I have a soft spot for the 94-98 cars but as far as best looking I don't think you can get a better looking Mustang than a properly done New Edge. Although the more 05-09s I see getting nicely setup the more my opinion on them is changing.

Favorite year/gen.?

First gen can't be a classic, and year definitely a 69. Which the second, fourth, fifth, and sixth gens look great in my eyes too.

Pick your poison.

I love the '03-'04 Terminators and the '11-'12 GTs.

The Termi is iconic but if it were me I'd go with a competition orange automatic Mach. Yes auto. Only automatic 4V until 2011 and the thing with the cast crank is completely overblown. Great drag car.

I've had fox bodies, a '95, a '99, now an '03, and test drove a 2013 GT/CS... as far as looks and sound, for sure the 99-04 cars are the best when well done. For power and potential? The Coyote cars no doubt.

I'm driving my favorite -a '99 Coupe with the split-port 3.8.

I'm on my third. I had a '66 GT and a '92 LX 5.0 previously. Ah, but the New Edge.... My favorite body style of all Mustangs so far, with my favorite, understated, businesslike interior. And on the mechanical side, it's the right mix of "old school" and "modern" automotive technologies for me. It's "low tech" where I want it to be; i.e. live rear drive axle; pushrod OHV power in the case of my 3.8. It's cheap to buy, cheap to run, cheap to own, cheap to upgrade, cheap to maintain, and cheap to fix if something breaks. It's just as easy to spin wrenches on as my old 5.0 was, responds to the same basic suspension tweeks, and it's easy to set up to handle surprisingly (to those who don't know better) well.

As a "muscle car," I might want a different model, but as a sports car for corner-carving, the New Edge is where it's at for me, live rear axle and all....

With a realatively few minor tweeks, it's the most fun per dollar spent of any enthusiast car I've had.

S197, only because this is the first Stang I ever owned, and I like a lot of things about it.

Favorite would be a 67/68 fastback.

I loved the 2005-09s until I got my New Edge, now I prefer the looks of the New Edge.

I always wanted an 87 5.0... And a 95 5.0... And a crazy part of me wants to build a Mustang II... Basically, I need one from each generation, maybe two 👍🏻

I ve pretty much been a Chevy guy all my life. But the 13-14 seems to me to be Mustang perfection. Great looking cars! Really capture the retro era look.
