295 or bigger on the back would be great

I'd personally take the GT500 over the Hellcat.

Where i live a 5.8 gt500 is around 65-70 grand and a hellcat is around 90 because of the dealerships marking them up like crazy. With saving 20 grand you could throw some mods onto the gt500 and make it unique

I'm late to this but Hellcat without hesitating. Now between the Charger or Challenger. ...that's tougher for me.

I saw the other day a 5.8 gt500 race a challenger hellcat and the gt500 had axle back and cold air intake and the hellcat had muffler delete and cold air intake with 305's on the back, both manual and the hellcat destroyed the gt500

Who knows what those intakes do to them. Who knows how good the two aftermarket tunes were on the car as well

I didn't realize you could add big intakes to supercharged engines without tuning,

Depends on the size, i know some intakes need tuning and some can get aeay with it because the size is good. I think like most jlt intakes on gt500 need a tune and so far no cold air intake needs a tune for a hellcat. A tune would make the comf air intake better for sure and is recomended but you can run them with out

Since the hellcat has more votes then the gt500, what about the hellcat or c7 z06? For me there is only about 3 grand difference between the 2

The Challenger is the best looking of the pony cars (Camaro & Mustang). That would include the Hellcat.

^"looks like a sofa"

Looks is probably the main reason I would choose a Challenger over a similar model Mustang. Except for the R/T vs GT.

I love the comment on the 'looks like a couch'.. but I do love both of these cars. Just the fact you could buy +700hp for about 100k, (I've seen the HellCat cars auctioned mostly, interested to know those that actually got them for the sticker cost). I love the GT500 and have a 2014 GT Convertible (I live in Florida) and have been looking at the 302's as a next car upgrade. I wonder what the lap times at Sebring would be for the HC and the GT500, I would think the GT would kill the HC but on the 1/4 mile I would think the HC would have the upper hand without serious modifications to the GT500. Has anyone seen side by side 1/4 mile times between the too 'out of the box'?

If I had to make a choice in 10 seconds I'd go with the HellCat, would love to put my foot to the floor and get pinned back in the seat, but if I did my homework and took my time, I believe I'd grab the GT500 because I have a propensity towards road racing and not drag racing.
