I was wondering what you guys think of the new challenger hellcat compared to the 2013-14 gt500?

Being a Mustang forum, the answers you get are going to be a bit biased.

^ yeah. And full of a bunch of opinions that ultimately don't matter since you are the one buying the car.

Maybe the question should have been what are the pros and cons of a 13-14 GT500 to those who own one?

Then go to a dodge forum and ask about the hellcat and then you weigh your options.

Hellcat makes for a cruiser with one hell of a punch.

Its hard to say. Both are probs going to be collectible. Both are fast enough to satisfy. Challenger vs GT500- I would pick GT500 because I perceive it as being a little more well-rounded of a car.

But Charger vs. GT500 is different. I am unable to decide between the two lol

Dodge definitely has the muscle car theme dialed in. I am glad I do not have to decide between the two! lol

Ever hear of leaving traction control on in rainy weather. And not jumping on it?

I would love to have either...but if I had to pick I'd go Hellcat even though there was a recent recall on them. Not sure what the problem was. Might want to find out before you choose.

If I had to buy one I would spend my money on the Mustang, but if you put them side by side and said I could have either one for free I think I would take the Hellcat. I think the Mustang is a better car but the Hellcat is unique. My gut feel is that a Hellcat will be more collectible than a GT500 in 20 years.

Why would the hellcat be worth anything in 20 years? Did they only make it in 15?

It all depends on what you want.
I personally like the Mustang and not saying the Hellcat is not worth having.
It is just that the Mustang is welcomed a lot better at the car events around my area.
I belong to two Mustang clubs and still belong to a Muscle car club. The Mustang is well accepted by my Street rod friends and the Dodge would not be as welcome even with 707 horsepower.
There are a few Hellcats around the area and they just seem to be a car and nothing special.
I love going to the American Muscle all Mustang show in Maple Grove Pennsylvania in August and that would be possible with the Hellcat, But I would have to park in the Spectators lot with the Jap cars. UGH!
This is a Hellcat that comes to cars and coffee and nobody gives it a second look.

It is nice and I wouln't mind having one myself

IF I CAN STILL KEEP MY MUSTANG
What is nice about the Hellcat is that when just driving it normal it is just like any other Dodge. They do have a lot of room and a nice interior.
You get a nice Muscle car feel but it just does not have the fun factor of a Mustang.
If I could only have one car for the rest of my life I would still choose the 2012 MCA I have now over a hellcat.
I have driven two different Hellcats and was happy to get back into my Mustang. There is 100% difference in how the cars feel to me.

Like I said, It depends on what you want out of your car.

I would take the hell cat... My dad has a challenger r/t which is nice but to heavy for its power. I really like his car but sucks when my new edge takes him in a race. If he had the 700 hp it would be a totally different car

Except for you, right? You even took pictures!

Can't you read, I love the Hellcat but for a daily driver and Pee on acceleration which the Hellcat is the best out there bar none. IPERSONALLY prefer my V6 Mustang as a car to drive every day. I can't afford both and I only have a two car garage so the Hellcat is out.
If I was like Jay Leno I would have way more cars then I have.

colebartakovic is asking what he should get. I say get the one that you want and will enjoy tho most.

I also took the pictures for my friend Nick to send them E-Mail because he never seen one in person. The guy that owns the Hellcat likes it a lot and likes going to car and coffee at Brothers because he also likes Mustangs. This event is 95% Mustangs.

I like "ALL" performance cars and if I was rich, I would have a garage full but my 2012 MCA would still be with me.
