Krazy Koni Sale?

I may soon be in the market for some new rear shocks (yay potholes). I vaguely remember there being some crazy Koni sale about once a year. Does anybody remember if it was now or in the spring? I think it was for purchases made through Koni directly? I can't remember exactly as I didn't pay close attention in the past.

Thanks!

Spring (April?)...Koni regulates their prices so 99% of the time they'll be the same everywhere. I scored mine through AM the 6% forum.

Thanks, Mud. Googling old forum posts also seems to support it being early spring (March/April period).

You're telling us this because you're gonna share it, right?

Strano sells Koni's for less than AM. The great shock sale is usually March through anytime between June and August (changes each year).

Proving to my fellow racers that the disdain that some GT drivers have for V6 drivers is unfounded, one results archive at a time since 2013.

I will be installing yellows in a couple of weeks. I went with them after driving a buddies V8...the 1st time I drove it it was stiff/bouncy the next time after he dialed it in it was great. I've also read several threads with folks having squeaking with oranges

It's about a $200 difference between the STR.T's (non adj. oranges) and the Single Adj. Sports (Yellows).
8 out of 10 people buy the yellows, find a setting they prefer for normal driving, and they never adjust it. If you feel you would be one of those people, get the STR.T's. They are basically yellows on the soft middle to middle setting.

I ordered Yellows yesterday, took me 2 hours to contemplate which set to get. I decided that the adjustability was worth the extra $200 as I plan on running at the strip multiple times and some autocross/spirited driving. My car is not a daily driver.

I've got yellows on my 01 with coil overs.... But i want to change them out for the yellows that the foxes use. Fox shocks are shorter, which accommodate lowered cars better.

+1 Good point, forgot about that. The shorter fox setup is optimal for bigger drops >1.5" as the static (rest) height is much closer to where it should be and not compressed as opposed to the 99-04 setup.

Going for all four corners? I was contemplating just doing the rears, but since they're on sale...

And drat...forum discount code cannot be stacked on the sale price.

all 4 and you don't want to know what I paid.

Rob and I are lowering it (I've got lots of stuff) the end of this month

fwiw if the rears are shot the front had more load on it...it'll need to be done sooner or later. I'm of the do it all at once category although since the rears are simple it's not as important.

Good points. At 60k miles, I'm sure all four corners are getting a bit tired. Just pulled the trigger and the set of 4, but will probably start by just installing the rears, since that's the easiest to do in the driveway.

I am at the same point Tym, I am probably going to do the same and get a set of Vogtland springs and do it all at the same time.

Shipped! Although AM is shipping each of the 4 shocks separately...weird.

Simple round object, just wrapped in brown paper should work.

Powder amounts for each depends on wall they are trying to get object to stick into.

Got mine coming from 2 separate stores on Amazon, got them less than American Muscle had them for and I am not jumping through the hoops for price matching.
Although American Muscle sells the Vogtland springs I will be getting them somewhere else also for $60 less.

Just got the delivery from AM. Looks like packing was improved--double-boxed, but no packing material between inner and outer box. Still, the shocks/struts arrived intact.

Siber, you got a good deal as I couldn't find them cheaper on Amazon.
