Steeda’s 2016 Mustang Police Interceptor is Hot and Nasty!

It’s a proverbial battle of the fiercest police interceptors, and Steeda just brought big guns to the fight. The Chevy versus Ford police interceptor comparison testing concluded with Ford on top for 2015, but that doesn’t mean Chevrolet isn’t stepping up its game for testing at the end of 2016.

Just in case Chevrolet gets a secret weapon bred from Holden stock, Steeda just introduced two police interceptor models based on its Q500 and Q750 platforms using its heavy-duty track and race-tested suspension and powertrain components. The parts are specifically designed to withstand the most severe punishment the job can deliver while providing unparalleled power, handling and control. For both wet and dry conditions special high-performance rubber is standard fare.

Dario Orlando, President of Steeda Autosports stated, “The Steeda Police Interceptors are tested and proven law enforcement vehicles that reflect the do-anything commitment of Law Enforcement Agencies. We’ve selected specific components that have been extensively race and track- tested — leaving nothing to chance for law enforcement agents.”

"She's the last of the V-8s! She sucks nitro! Phase 4 heads, 600 horsepower through the wheels!"
-Mad Max-

Isn't Steeda afraid that they may be alienated some of their enthusiast base by making this car available to government agencies?
I have never heard of this proverbial "Battle of the fiercest police interceptors" competition. What car is this Steeda police interceptor competing against for this title?
My biggest question is... What law enforcement agencies have the need, and the funding, to purchase a car such as this?
