2005 Mustang GT worth?

Hey guys, just wanting your opinions.

I found a 2005 mustang gt 5 speed deluxe red. It has about 90k on it. He's asking 9k for it firm.

Test drive it and it drove good, shifted good. I had trouble starting off in first but that's because I was revving up to 4k on takeoff not meaning to. I can tell a difference between this and my 99 cobra.

Car drove good and everything, I just couldn't really get the hang of taking off. Is it just me or do they have to get used to it?

Can't really find any other gts around this price unless they're auto. What do you think?

2005 Mustang GT worth?

Any pictures of it?
My 07 GT has the throw out bearing/slave cylinder getting tired and I'm having the same issue with taking off. I'm at 2 grand taking off.
Price is ok, I think. I paid 13,500 for mine with 49,500 miles.
Pick your poison.

Has options of a premium but is a deluxe. Has leather seats and shaker 500 sound I think. Not sure about the gauges differing color or not.

I like the car and its in good shape and decent miles.

Only issue I have is the taking off in first and the rear tires being bigger. Not really liking the wheels but it's dirty at the moment, could grow on me.

I just wanna be sure before I sink money into my only driving car and something would go wrong..

If the owner is willing; take the car to your trusted mechanic for a FULL inspection. Base your decision on what he says/finds. If he gives 👍 I'd go for it.

Just a couple of questions...is that a Nitrous bottle in front of the passenger seat?
What is the rag covering on the dash....is that a tach?

I would also second what Recon said about taking it to a certified mechanic to have it checked.....it will cost maybe $200..........well worth the money to find out what's going on with car. Especially with 90K miles........also ask for service records or where the car has been for maintenance.
The wheels have curb rash and depending on how much tread is on the car you may have to replace tires............could be upwards of $600/800 for the tires and then there are new or better wheels....I also don't like the wheels.

If that is a Nitrous bottle............I'd say no thanks and quickly walk away.

For me it's really hard to value a Mustang since here on the West Coast there are so many low mileage ones.................under 40k miles.........they are going from $13 to 17k.

No nos bottle on it. It was a cleaning tube that you can buy at Wal-Mart, the wipes I kept kicking it around in the floor. As far as the rag goes that's in the middle, those were hats, he had about 4 hanging up.

It's pretty stock except for pipes.

I've been looking everywhere for the right car and its so dang hard finding one with relatively low mileage that people are asking a leg and arm for.

It isn't cheap. Or the car is hundreds of miles away.

Ok, I would still take it to a Ford mechanic and have it checked if you are serious.

Cars with low miles will always command a higher price than ones with high mileage. It doesn't mean they are any better.........just a higher price because of the perception that lower miles means lower problems....which is not always true.
A friend just bought a 2010 NISMO with 18,000 miles and paid $27,500 for it and it came with Stillen exhaust and CAI's. The car is a blast to drive but for the kind of money I would have gotten a Corvette............
