I highly doubt anything is going to happen.

Their proposal is to prevent people from turning normal registered cars into 100% track only cars. Ones not even driven on the street. Which would mean privately owned cars on private property. I don't see that passing. Its only in proposal stage right now, billions of things get proposed without actually anything happening. Even if some how it makes it to the bill stage then 100k signatures compared to a country with millions of people, it will not be significant enough for the government to even consider.

I agree except for the 100k part. statistics, polls and such are in part what I do. 100k would make politicians think twice. Long story but 100K signatures represents more than that based on availability, activity and levels. Not to mention causal growth and voting public representation.

The only thing that scares me is that there is no such thing as a stagnant or giving up of power regarding government. Once established they can effectively control something they generally work towards greater control and tend to look at it financially. Moving on to road going cars and/or creating a sin tax of sort on aftermarket parts as well *** regulating shops "certified" to do the work would be in the future. Look at A/C units

Signed it. The number of signatures is rising pretty fast. Like 2000 signatures every hour or so. It was at 66,000 when I signed, now it's at 77,000

The EPA regulates, they do not legislate. If the EPA has a provision in a regulation and they enact the regulation it's a done deal. Congress, who legislates, will not be able to say a thing about this issue. It's the EPA that has just about put the coal industry out of business.

The administrator of the EPA sets the tone of the agency and is appointed by the President. Consider this and many other factors as we choose a new President this fall.

BTW it was 121,540 when I signed

Amen, I prefer to manage my own life as much as possible. Body fat, bad moods and government are all a less is more proposition.

We have to be careful with this sort of assumption. Many of these "lower or insignificant" bills get buried into other larger bils that are important, and slide through the system.

I feel like this comes up at least once a year. It never gains any traction and just fizzles out.

Things like this fizzle out because people like us stay on top of it. If we ever become complacent these type of bills will slide in under the radar as bucko stated attached to some other bill and next thing you know it's law. It's all part of the you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. Our government is shady so you have to try and stay one step ahead.

A bunch of hippies trying band people from modding cars. Hilarious.
Then again it said ban mods to emission certified vehicles. So, I'll just buy 74 and back. No emissions!

Every day is a joyride.

My Constitution says, "We the People". In fact, the Constitution was written in such a way that Big Government should be prevented. We are given the power to not only have a say, but remove those that abuse the power of the US government.

At some point history, civics, political science, etc has buried the foundation and principles of this Nation. Our schools are teaching our children that the government makes choices, not The People. It is being taught that dependence on the government is needed. America needs to wake up and see where we came from and where we are headed.

Ok, I'm through with my preaching for a moment. I am going to turn my AC down to 50°, turn on the TV and power up the surround sound. When I finish watching TV I will head to town in a car that gets 9mpg to buy engine parts for my Dodge Ram Quad Cab.

Why do I need engine parts for the truck? The EPA regulated catalytic converter stopped up and destroyed the heads and cooling system. The exhaust had to go somewhere. It found itself pushing oil into the intake, blowing a head gasket, and killing the water pump, lower radiator hose, overflow tank, thermostat, etc.

The engine is likely trashed due to the milkshake that was made by the oil and coolant.
