V6 to GT swap!!!!!!!!

Hey guys I've decided to do a motor and tranny swap!!!! I have a 2000 v6 and got a 2003 gt donor car with relatively low mileage. The car was equipped with a tr3650 transmission and also had under drive pulleys. The exhaust was a steeda catback. So far I've purchased Mac chrome Longtube headers with the or x-pipe. Is there anything you guys out there can think of that would be worth replacing or upgrading while I'm at it. The donor car is fully stripped and the motor and tranny and complete wiring harness are just waiting to be put in. So I probably have a week or two of time to do things to it. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated???

First thing I would do is a clutch and possibly a flywheel.

Only thing i can think while the motor is out is heads and cams but idk what your budget looks like...other than that everything can be done while the motor is in the car

Sounds like a good idea. What do you recommend for heads. Also if I beef up the top end is the bottom end of the motor strong enough to handle the extra power

For an N/A i would think so not 100% sure though now if you were adding a supercharger or turbo then id say yeah build the bottom end for sure stage 2 cams with stage 2 heads seem to be the most popular that ive seen

Leave the heads, maybe do cams but if you are supercharging it you'll want blower cams... which will not be great while the car is NA.

I'd just swap it and get it on the road and then worry about upgrades.

I think that is the route I'm gonna take. I definitely want the supercharger but that's gonna have to wait a bit

Hey guys I haveanother question.once the swap is complete are the hand held tubers worth the money or is it better to find a performance shop and have the car tuned there??

best bet is to tune it yourself, the custom tuning software and even a base tune is free on my website
FBFG2 / EFIDynoTuning

if you'd rather not then it would be best to just get a remote tune
Online/Remote Tune - EFIDynoTuning

going that route you can copy your pats code over from your v6 ecu to your v8 swap ecu that way she stays happy and it works as it all should
