Parts not fitting on 2013 GT

Sorry to complain but I am becoming concerned and frustrated with companies that say their mods fit my car. I purchased a speedster tonneau 2 piece fiber glass cover for my convertible 2013 GT. It came in and fortunately I tried to install it before having it painted. In didn't fit in 2 areas. ABC Exclusives swore that it would fit. Then I purchased the Xforce Varex motorized axleback mufflers for adjustable sound. American Muscle again swore that they will fit and install was very easy. I took it to a long time muffler shop and they said the brackets were too short. Plus the stock mufflers did not easily come out as they suggested. At this point I am hesitating to do any more mods without trying to find someone who has actually installed in a 2013. I don't think these suppliers are aware that there is a difference between the 2005 to 2012 and the 2013 and 14 as well as 15 and 16. It's like they tested on the older years without verifying that the later years will work.
Anyone else experiencing the same crap??
Thanks for listening, Framemaker

Parts not fitting on 2013 GT

Pre-bent exhaust hardly ever fits right.

I have Borla A/B's on mine, fit perfect. As for the exhaust coming off hard, at least they do not have to take the car apart to do it, the exhaust is in before the rear suspension is in the car.
As for an Aftermarket part fitting without modification. Especially a fiberglass part, test fit and make fit before paint.

To be honest, I don't hear of people getting the two parts listed very often. It could be a case of those companies not getting as much business, and because of that, not being able to do as much R & D as a business like Borla.

If that's the case why not say that some modifications may need to be done at buyers expense. I'm worried that if I make changes to it and something goes wrong with the motorized butterfly thery'll say I changed it so the warranty is no good.

False.

Cheap pre-bent exhaust hardly ever fits right

Op, the mufflers do come off easy as pie. If you took it to a muffler shop and they told you otherwise they are one of two things:

Idiots and need to be hit over the head with a tack hammer.

Trying to overcharge you and justify labor.

I also have a hard time believing the mounting brackets are incorrect. Mainly when the info comes from someone who has trouble removing a stock muffler. I can swap a set of 11+ mufflers with no ramps, on the driveway in less than 45 min start to finish. I've done it several times.

What does the motorized part do?

2005 to 2012??? Don't you mean 2005 to 2009, or 2010? 4.6 vs 5.0?

Had 6 Mustangs. I now have a 2016 GT350. I don't see myself getting anything else now. Only mods are a resonator delete, and a GT350R wing. I love the power, and the handling. Prior to that I had a 2015 Performance Pack GT with the MT82 and a lot of mods, a 2012 GT/CS with the 6R80. To me that was a mistake. Only Mustang I ever had with an auto. Before that a 2001 Premuim GT with lots of mods. Before that a 2000 V6 My 1st Mustang mistake. Should have stuck with V8's. Before that a 1965 convertible also with a lot of mods.

Welcome to the world of ABC Exclusive... wish you would have asked on a forum first about them, you'd probably have decided not to buy from them. Good luck ever getting your money back or getting them to pay for the work to make it fit. I'd cut your losses and just pay a body shop to fix it if possible and roll with it.

For the exhaust... again, you bought a little known product and "motorized exhuast" I dunno... Probably would have spent much less on a Borla or Roush or FRPP or Magnaflow setup and those all fit perfectly.

Don't hesitate to get more parts... but do your due diligence and don't trust online reviews on AM/LRS/wherever. Ask in forums beforehand or use the search function.

Just because I give you advice, doesn't mean I know more than you. Its just means I've done more stupid ****.
