Posting this in a Mustang forum should boost the Mustang side a bit.

I always knew you liked your ladies thick and build like a brick ****house.

I voted mustang because I like the Mustang history the best and ford over welfare motors, but the new Camaro is pretty nice in comparison to the sho/fusion/mustang/focus gangbang baby car.

I like the Camaro's looks very much, and its interior is much more refined than my '14 Mustang's. Would consider buying a new Camaro, but the visibility is terrible. This negative safety factor is a deal breaker for me. I sat inside a '15 Challenger at the S.F. Auto Show in late 2014, and found its outside view equally poor, with an unimpressive interior. I do like the new ('15 - '16) Mustang, but would go for the Camaro if the viewing area was safer.

Well...since I sold my 14 TrakPak and am driving a GM product...I'd say the Camaro. It's about the same HP as my Caddy along with the same chassis and I suspect there is a lot more to be had from that 6.2l...

Guess it all depends on the year... Test drove a 2016 and I walked away from it cause there is no room in the back. Salesman even told me you couldn't be over 5' 8" and sit back there. I'm 6' 1" and I can even ride in the back seat of my 2014. Haven't tested the Camaro but it was a temporary option before I found my car. Heard rear seats were tight there too and didn't care as much for the interior verses the more retro style of the Mustang.... So that's my choice...

Mustang up to 2014
Camaro 2015+ (unless I don't need the rear seat, which I do at the moment) lol

I like the horsepower and torque that the Camaro provides and if everything else was equal I would get it, but the visibility issue worries me; I also believe it is a little more expensive. I really don't need more than the 435 HP the Mustang provides so that is my choice. If you want the higher HP and torque by all means get the Camaro.

The only reason the Camaro and Challenger exist is because of the Mustang, had a z-28 real nice car had 68 Mustang GT 390 first, friends and relatives with Mopars( I worked on them all) back to Mustang and due to recent govmn't bail out and foreign owners of Chrysler I think Ford is my choice. Won't buy governmn't motors and damn strait won't pretend that Fiat is Mopar not sending my hard earned money to Italy!

I'd buy the new Camaro for the LT1 and the magneride.

Although I do like the Challenger, I also like the Camaro with the right paint and options

It has to be a Mustang for me,
Probably because I like the other cars but I LOVE My Mustang.
A car is a personal preference and to each his own.
Buy what you like and enjoy it, These are all good fun cars to own.

My answer. Two days ago I traded in my 2013 Mustang for a loaded 2016 Mustang GT in Competition orange. I did consider the new Camero but visibility sucks and the new mustang is a much better all around car for the money.

I voted for the Camaro. The Camaro is in a completely different league than the S550 performance wise. Will run a train on the S550 in every category.

Someone didn't buy the Camaro because couldn't fit in the back seat? Wth? Planning on riding around back there much while 2 other ppl sit in the front seats of YOUR car?

As far as "socialist motors" or whatever. Ford also took a ton of money during the bailouts. It was not technically "bailout" money as it came from a different pot but it was still substantial.

Now if it was a S197 Coyote vs the previous generation Camaro... Mustang all the way even tho a 1LE Camaro with a cam swap is nasty as hell.

The reasoning behind the backseat for me... I have a son that's only 12 and's already 5' 5". At the rate he's growing, he couldn't fit in my car if my wife was in there... So yeah, it's kind of important.

I had my 14 TrakPak for a year and only had 4 people in the car once.
Personally I consider the Mustang a two person car....even my 97 Cobra didn't have much room in the rear seats.
Although I no longer have any children it's nice to take more than one other person and the Mustang just wasn't that car....reason I went to a 4dr....and the Mag/Ride....hands down better than any Mustang suspension...OE or aftermarket.
Don't get me wrong I still have the 03 in the garage and I love it...better than the 14.

Well, Ford did not receive any funds from the TARP program, more specifically from the Automotive Industry Financing Program, which provided the ~$80 billion that GM and Chrysler took.

They did however, receive federal assistance in the form of a loan ($5.9 billion) from the Department of Energy to re-tool their line for more fuel efficient vehicles, which they did pay back in full (similar to a collateral loan you or I would take out on a vehicle purchase).

At the time, Ford did support the bill which included the bailout because they felt if the competition (GM and Chrysler) failed, then suppliers would follow which would ultimately affect them.

Also, a lot of people don't know that in '08 the CEO at the time, Alan Mulally did ask Congress for a $9 billion line of credit in case things got worse and they needed it. So in some ways, Ford is hypocritical to slam the other makers since they came close to taking federal bail out money themselves.

Where they separate themselves is by claiming they never needed the money because they re-structured and adapted to the changing economy and customer demand. Also the $5.9 billion supposedly was from a larger pot the government had to promote efficiency across industries and was not direct tax payer money, not sure if that is true or not.

A friend has 2016 Camaro SS with the mag shocks etc. Awesome car. Definitely faster, the engine is a beast. Pulls HARD.

I love my 2015 Mustang GT, but I have a convertible and he doesn't. With my top down I can carry 4 adults with little drama.

Oh, one more thing. Visibility in his car blows big time. And his active exhaust I just don't like! My car with the F F X-pipe and Borla Touring axle back sounds AMAZING in a straight up comparison. Just my 2 cents.

If you need a usable back seat get a Charger. My DD (with AWD) and adjustable pedals.

My fun car is my Mustang but I miss the sound of the V8.

So I decided to Keep my DD and my mustang and get a new Camaro SS.

I'm not prejudice.

The only issue with the SS is that it's about 50hp less and 200 lbs more....although I haven't seen one yet I'd love to take one for a test drive.

Those look great, but I prefer the SHO for that bill. Cheaper, holds its value the same, better fuel eifficiency, better interior build but not by much, and easier to modify. Going all out however and getting close to the limits of the fuel system and engine, the charger would take that one. But for something 400whp to drive daily, the SHO gets you there cheaply. I'm not a fan of the direct injection though.
