Should I sell my current for?

Okay so right now I have a 2001 mustang gt vert which leaks some. It's all stock and automatic. I been thinking on it hard to see it and buy my friends sn95, it was a gt but he swapped it and it doesn't show miles but around 50k on the engine. It has brand new fr500 rims 5 speed, It's got gt40 upper and lower intake stock heads rebuilt back to a 302 new rings and all and it's got a E cam in it and bbk xpipe with slp loudmouths
And a 4 10 gear and a steeda short throw shifter.Click image for larger version

His sounds really loud and aggressive and with the cams and slp I'm like in love with it. Plus I want manual but I want others opinions.

Just some opinions please, I'm already almost sold on it and I'm starting to really like the sn95 body style but I love the new edge. But obviously the upgrade from 4.6 to a 5.0 with those upgrades.

Both around 4 grand, I have to seek the 01 first. It almost seemed like a steal on the sn95 but see the title says its a gt and has like 230k miles but it's swapped now.

01 gt my names drew.

Going from your engine to that is a massive downgrade unless its got the Cobra heads too. If its stock GT heads, they flow like garbage. The PI motor is superior to the pushrod in basically every way except low end grunt and gears fix that. Better built, better to tune, no paper gaskets, no rear main seal that'll leak no matter what you do and no lifting the heads under boost or a big nitrous shot and spraying coolant all over the windshield.

Keep looking, look on Craigslist for something that isn't that high of a mileage and overpriced. Hell, there is a 97 Cobra triple black vert with 57k miles for $5500 locally to me. Get a deal like that. Or find another car like yours but 5 speed if you are dead set on 5 speed. At any rate, your auto with 4.10s and bolt ons and a tune will beat the snot out of that car you are looking at with the same mods. Not even close.

Does it have Cobra heads or E7 heads from the GT? Actually physically look. The owner should have already been able to tell you this.

Well he's my friend and he wasn't gonna sell it but he said he wanted something different but he told me it was built to a cobra and he's like me I wouldn't put a cobra emblem on a car unless it was the real deal but I'll double check cause I'd hate that if he didn't get that done! But I'll check around still too.

Lol if it's a GT its still not the real deal... Only way it's legit is if the 8th digit in the VIN is a D.

Sounds fishy to me. Even with paperwork proving what mileage the swapped motor has, the rest of the drivetrain and suspension have almost a quarter million miles. I'm going to agree at ~2k. Trust me, with that many miles, motor swap or not, you will still be replacing stuff all the time, turning it into a money pit. Your buddy wants something different because he already knows this.

With a bit of patience you should be able to find a much better stang for around the same money. Don't let excitement cause you to make a poor decision.

Take a gt (any car) and put a bajillion dollars into it. It's still worth what the gt books at to 99.99999999% of the population.

And up the dosage on your anti-seizure meds. Your pics are all over the place except where they need to be for me to see clearly without having a seizure myself so my head is bouncing around.
