How short is a Barton shifter

Good evening all.
Ok, I ordered a Barton shifter. I'm also looking to order a new leather shift boot with some accents to match the Grabber blue exterior. But I'd like to know if I should order a boot that is shorter than stock or will the stock height boot look ok? It's a 2012 GT.

Thanks.

Stock vs ford racing (ford racing is made by Barton if you didn't already know that). Stock boot is more than fine

They are pretty much identical in terms of physical height.

Even more so if you add that orange rubber gasket that sits under the shifter. It's thicker then the stock base gasket and helps it sit around the same height.

It also alleviated a little vibration for me when I added the Barton on my 2011. I would recommend the shifter base gasket. The stock one is like paper iirc.
