So..bought a GT500 today!

Started my snake hunt earlier than planned. Ended up with this sick unit. 2011, SVT PP, stripe delete, 16k miles, 1 owner. Also has the HID's (standard), electronics package (nav & dual climate control). Some quick test drive pics, will try to get some better ones tomorrow. This car is worth every penny

Thanks everyone. She is awesome. I still have the mach and v6 but they feel like go karts compared to this car lol.

Not stock, some bolt ons. Metco 2.6 pulley with dual bearing aux idler, o/r X, tb, 305 NT555Rs out back. Tuned of course.

Still on the fence with the 1/4 louvers. They look good on black and at certain angles, guess I can always pop them off if I start to hate them.

39,250 out the door. Think I did well considering most other 11s with similar mIles were a couple grand more, some out of state. This one was within 100 miles. The dealer I bought it from had two other 2011 black svt pp cars to choose from. It was crazy.

Your lucky, I had to travel 2200 miles to find the right GT500. Most of the local cars were either convertibles or had astronomical miles. Like you though I got a great deal and they shipped the car too me free.

When you know what you want it is more than worth the patience required to find it.

I don't have a Shelby Cobra by any means. I knew what I wanted though. I knew the color, interior, engine, and that I wanted a convertible. I knew I wanted a New Edge. I looked for three months and talked to more than 200 people. In the end, the car I wanted was almost local to me.

Thanks everyone. Really didn't plan on getting into one of these till next year but I made the mistake of test driving one. That blower whine and just how impressive the car was in near stock form was too much. Really glad I waited and went with a 2011 over a 2010.

Not really sure yet. Car does have a 2.6 pulley, tb and midpipe. Probably get her on the rollers as she sits for a baseline.

Have to pull plugs and see if the PO dropped a heat range when he did the pulley change.

Car could benefit from some LCA's. Eventually will do a bigger blower, better cooling system etc. but for now I'm gonna enjoy her.

Ha. You're not the first person to suggest those changes, and I've had the car a day. I considered it but then the car will damn near resemble a 13/14 and I don't want to be one of those poser cars.

I might do some tail light overlays but that'll probably be it cosmetically for a while. I really like the way the car is sitting right now. Probably focus on suspension, tuning and more powah!!

Jesus dude, that's ****ing beautiful! Enjoy the new snake. I hope there's still room in the stable for the Mach though. Do whatever you want with the V6 lol.

An N/A Mach is slow vs a GT500 but having two clean limited edition 'stangs is just cool.

Yes.
I wouldn't expect paint matching issues with black, and I have had good luck with the AM stuff. ( MMD )
They also did a good match on the 1/4 window covers on my 14, SGM is a little harder to match & they nailed it.

Yah I'd say so. My F150 is SGM so I know what you're saying about that color. Like those flush mount 1/4's. Have to remember those should the current Eleanor style ones happen to "fly" off lol.
