Replacing stock motive gears to new?

I am thinking about taking out my stock 3.73 (pretty sure) to new 4.10. Anyone know how simple this is and what exactly will i be needing as far as tools go or lifts? Im pretty much in the dark here. I heard about how much they can really wake up your GT but before I buy them I wanted to see if it was going to be VERY difficult for me to do. Your thoughts??

You have 3.27's stock....and the 4.10's will wake your car up a lot. You will need to correct your speedo with a tuner or else the speedometer will not read right and neither with your odometer.

How hard is it, well, it isn't that it is hard, it is a precise thing. You have to make sure the backlash and everything is just so. I've never done a gear swap though, so I can't give you a lot of details about it.

You should be able to find a shop that would install them for $200-300 or so...

sweet. Ya i wasnt sure about the ratio. Google lied I guess haha. Do you know if by swapping out the stock gear with better ones could at all screw up the rear end if done correctly. For example, is there anything else I should look into getting ontop of the new gears.

you dont have the tools to do it, have them installed somewhere, you axle seals are fine if they arent leaking but always go back with a new pinion bearing and seal.

do not do a gear install yourself, leave it to a pro... its not hard its just hard to get them right~ most shops just toss them in as well... take it to a shop that knows what they are doing and have a warranty in writing to cover gear whine and premature wear due to bad install.
