2018 GT Exhaust options. Best one?

I'm on the verge of ordering a 2018 GT and am trying to make a decision on the exhaust. After watching numerous videos on the active valve exhaust the sport or track setting does not sound that much better than the normal. So do I spend $895 for something that doesn't sound much different? You can get a resonator delete pipe for around $150; seems like that is a much cheaper option and may produce the same sound as the sport/track option on the active exhaust. I'm not interested in more horsepower, just an economical way to make the car sound good, although it may sound just fine stock.

Other options I have decided on are: Performance Package, 401A Package, Safe & Smart Package, and Ruby Red paint. Decided on the 6-speed as I like shifting gears and don't care about the better 1/4 mile time. I can't justify the Magnaride shocks as I just don't drive the car hard. I'm going to wait until after the Detroit auto show to order the car as I want to see if they announce the Bullitt Mustang and how much it is going to cost. My fear is that Ford is going to gouge us for the Bullitt, just due to the name.

I’d get the active exhaust but that’s just me. If you can’t really tell the difference then that’s $895 you don’t have to spend.
Judging from the performance of the GT, I’d venture to say the Bullitt won’t be too much higher in performance. Maybe a “CAI” and some other minor changes. Personally, I think it needs to be a comparable gap like the New Edge Mach 1 to GT. Not just some slight tweaks, make it worth the package.

Get the active exhaust, it's worth it.

I drove a 5.0 with the active exhaust today. Went through all the settings and normal sounded pretty darn good. The sport and track did sound a little better but not worth the $900 unless you really need the quiet mode for getting out of your neighborhood without waking up the neighbors. I was really pleased with how good the normal mode sounded.

I went and listened to it. It is louder especially track. If you do the resonator delete, then it is a lot louder.

Had 6 Mustangs. I now have a 2016 GT350. I don't see myself getting anything else now. Only mods are a resonator delete, and a GT350R wing. I love the power, and the handling. Prior to that I had a 2015 Performance Pack GT with the MT82 and a lot of mods, a 2012 GT/CS with the 6R80. To me that was a mistake. Only Mustang I ever had with an auto. Before that a 2001 Premuim GT with lots of mods. Before that a 2000 V6 My 1st Mustang mistake. Should have stuck with V8's. Before that a 1965 convertible also with a lot of mods.
