I'm on the verge of ordering a 2018 GT and am trying to make a decision on the exhaust. After watching numerous videos on the active valve exhaust the sport or track setting does not sound that much better than the normal. So do I spend $895 for something that doesn't sound much different? You can get a resonator delete pipe for around $150; seems like that is a much cheaper option and may produce the same sound as the sport/track option on the active exhaust. I'm not interested in more horsepower, just an economical way to make the car sound good, although it may sound just fine stock.
Other options I have decided on are: Performance Package, 401A Package, Safe & Smart Package, and Ruby Red paint. Decided on the 6-speed as I like shifting gears and don't care about the better 1/4 mile time. I can't justify the Magnaride shocks as I just don't drive the car hard. I'm going to wait until after the Detroit auto show to order the car as I want to see if they announce the Bullitt Mustang and how much it is going to cost. My fear is that Ford is going to gouge us for the Bullitt, just due to the name.
