Could the v6 mustang days be over?...I'm starting to wonder

So out of boredom I went to dodge's website to drool over the challenger and I saw something that caught my eye. The base v6 model is starting at 22K!!!!. I think ford's about to be in a lot of hurt. Despite the fact I am a BIG mustang fan. The challenger destroys the current mustang. The 09 model sure better step it up because right now the only advantage it has is starting price of just under 20k and a manual option. Otherwise the challenger has it hands down.

Guess we will have to wait and see what Ford is gonna do. But i personally dont think its gonna hurt the Mustangs sales at all.

The v6 sales are mostly going to be for looks and if you compare the styling of both. The challenger has it hands down. Dont get me wrong I still love the mustang and will have one again eventually, but the challengers cool factor is just much higher.

Very true. It might hurt them alot. I think the sticker price is gonna have alot to do with it. With the economy the way it is people are trying to save as much as they can. Which might be the difference, which should help the Mustangs sales.

I think for needs to drop the price on the mustang and have it start around 17-18k. If they did that it would save them with the new challenger and soon to be camero coming out.

I personally think that the new camaro has the Challenger look wise. The new camaros are ****ing beasts, from what I read the SS will hold 9 quarts of ****ing oil. However the new V6 Camaros are going to be coming with 300HP to the crank. Eat that Mustang GT! I hate Chevys but damn, I'm, jealous.
