Random Problem

I have a 1995 ford mustang and as of recent for no reason the car will randomly seem to brake. (as in slow down of course) the rpm's stay the same and it can be while driving on the highway and randomly the car will feel as if its braking. Any help would be great!

Re: Random Problem

If you give it gas can you get the rpm's through the full rev range or is there a dead spot or what. I don't understand what you mean by break(brake?).

If you can give it gas and rpm's move but no power I wanna say tranny related.

Re: Random Problem

im thinking either tranny... possibly fuel filter? i would value someone else's opinon over mine though. just shooting in the dark here.

what im taking from his problem is that it probably feels like he has his ebrake on when driving.

Re: Random Problem

Sounds like a fuel or electrical problem to me. I take it no error codes?
