Last year, I bought a 1994 Mustang
Convertible really cheap because it had a blown head gasket and the convertible top needs replacing. The car had been repoed and in the process, the ignition lock was broken. When I bought the car, the keys couldn't be found, so I have no keys to the car -- but I do have clear title to the car.
Before we took the motor out of the car and disconnected the computer, the steering column wasn't locked and the car could be cranked with a screw driver. Now, the steering column is locked and I can't get the ignition lock cylinder to turn to the Run position so I can change the cylinder.
Any idea how to get the steering column unlocked so I can replace the ignition lock cylinder?
Any help would be appreciated. Would rather spend money on parts than a locksmith.
