Thanks everyone!

I have been keeping busy on the build. Only one little mistake so far (at least that I am aware of). For degreeing the cams I should have temporarily installed a solid valve adjuster on one of the #1 intake valves. No dig deal just need to Re & Re the RH Cam.

Cams and Cam Phasers installed.

Thanks!

Just picked up a Comp Cams Crankshaft Socket that lets you rotate the degree wheel without the risk of rotating the crankshaft. NEAT!

Ready to locate TDC and check the cam timing, but first I need to come up with a better, more rigid way of fixing the pointer.

Thanks guys!

Still not ready to check the cam timing.

Waiting for a second TFS Solid Lash Adjuster. I did modify two Roller Followers so an Allen key will pass through the oil hole. OEM left, TFS Lash Adjuster middle and modified Follower on the right.

Also fabricated a 12mm thread Piston Stop (bottom) as no one seems to make one.

Very cool!

Do the lifters always remain primed as the engine runs? Also, is the increased size hole on the rocker just for rocker-lifter lubrication? Sorry if these are dumb questions. Lol

Yes, oil constantly flows through the Hydraulic Lash Adjusters.

The hole is used to pass an Allen Key though to be able to set the clearance to "zero lash" between the lash adjuster and the roller follower. This is done as part of checking the cam timing - literally to take up the slack. The Roller Followers that I modified are only used when checking the cams.

This pictures shows the Allen Key passing through the Roller Follower in order to adjust the set screw in the TFS Lash Adjuster.

The forged motor is in, still some tinkering, break-in and tuning to do:

Absolutely gorgeous dude. Can't wait to see the numbers. You're doing the 4.6 proud. I definitely know I voted for the right person.

Thanks, your vote was greatly appreciated as it was a very close race!

Here is a little better picture of the installed forged engine.
