The highest octane one you can supply fuel for

Some of the tuners have different canned tunes available for the same octane. It really depends on how you drive it. Personally I would want a "torque" tune.

Re: Tune question

I guess its really gonna depend on what you are looking for in the tune.I run the race tune on my SCT and have never changed it.

Plus 1...I think that is what bama calls their performance street tune. The race one is high end hp. Iirc

i could be wrong on this, but you might have that backwards...my race tune is all low end torque, the performance tune was much more spread out over the rpm range...

When I questioned Chris from American muscle he told me one of their tunes was higher in torque. Street perhaps. I know for sure the race tune concentrated on 4000 rpm and up hp. I may have mixed up the other 2.

Really. K well you have real world use and feel out of it so I am gonna take your word for it. I bought a used tuner and for 150 you can sign up for the tunes for life deal from bama. I messaged Chris from AM about the tune differences and that's how he explained them to me. But I am not driving on one so I am gonna believe ya

Good luck I could be wrong with the new ones but it's a six cylinder so it probably won't ever sound as good as an 8 cylinder. I would go with AmericanMuscle.com and check out their exhaust systems for your year. They might have exhaust sound clips for it too.

Sct or diablosport. Both do the same things. I have an sct but only because the speedshop I frequent uses them and when I am done modding and get a dyno tune it has to be on the same system as them.

Re: Tune question

So here is a question. I just threw on a BBK cold air intake. I don't really have a reason to tune it yet. Would that be a safe assumption? Or would I be better off just getting the tune anyway?

Re: Tune question

SCT has become the more dominant player in the mustang aftermarket. More tuners are SCT only now than 5 years ago. SCT is top notch, and at least the tuners who tune SCT are more readily available in most areas.

I say find the tuner you want to use, and let them tell you which handheld to get
