Re: Cold air intake!

Stage3 Motorsports and American Muscle are two places to check out. I have read that a car of your generation responds to a tuner and CAI very well. You also have the advantage of getting a CAI from Roush which can be found easy enough.
A CAI will do little in power gains by itself but is an intricate part of building horsepower when combined with exhaust, certain bolt-ons and a dyno tune.
Congrats, and fun with that!

Thanks you guys great information and surprisingly the parts are very affordable! One more question. I noticed that with almost all of the intake systems tuning is required should have a professional do this for me or is it simple enough to do on my own?

Get a combo kit from AM I have the JLT CAI & SCT Tuner with free tunes for life. The tuner is simple you plug it in and foloow the easy directions on the screen. VERY EASY

Re: Cold air intake!

For the 2005-09 (4.0L) V6, Ford promised a true 15 hp gain on their CAI with 93 oct. tune!! My seat of the pants meter confirms this, but I do also have true duals, flowmasters and an x-pipe!

Re: Cold air intake!

hmm interesting it would pick up that much, but I guess with a tune its not to far fetched.
