V6 Mustang door protector removal

Today I removed the V6 dead give away door protectors used some bug n tar removal and one side looks perfect can't tell it was ever there.. The other side it looks like it left an imprint in the body anyone else removed these without issue? Any ideas what the deal is??

Try a light scrath remover compond. Or Meguiar's Ultimate Compond

fishing line can be used to get the sticky removed from the paint and as said clean the sticky off, wax can work but takes a while~

the color might not match if the paint is faded

Actually what happened was the car door was repainted and they failed to remove these before repainting (before I owned it) so now there's a layer of paint that the spot never received taking it to get resprayed would be spendy as hell here on the island I live on.. Any other ideas? My dad said to just take a rubbing compound to it multiple times a day and eventually it would be hard to tell

you won be able to blend it in ... but you can try.... rubbing compound is something you have to be careful with as it removes clear coat. YOu ONLY want to use clear coat safe stuff.
