Opinion needed for intake system

I bought a BBK V6 Cold Air Intake for about 200 dollars.. Does anyone know if it's just going to be ****ty? Or if it's a decent intake or if I'm just a moron and should return it and buy a nice nice one..

It will be sufficient enough. Some may be better than others but no more than a couple horses. They all help slightly. It's mostly cosmetics though. A little hp bump. A little economy bump. Bbk will do fine.

I consider BBK to be a good brand myself. Never had any problems from their products.

I just got it installed it looks good, gives the car a nice almost turbo hiss for a second when punched, seems to drive alittle better nothing crazy different but it's worth the price.. Never worked on an engine and I was able to install it in less than an hour makes a great birthday present haha

BBK is a good brand, get it dynoed to ensure tune is ok, not sure on the 05+ V6, but GT's require a tune.

Re: Opinion needed for intake system

I put a BBK intake on my 2010 V6, and it added a little power, but not much. Since I am a lead foot, and eat through gas like you would not believe, a little power helps with that. Not in a good way that is. But I love it. They say that no tuning is required, but I would tune it anyway. I will defiantly do that to mine as soon as I can afford it.

Re: Opinion needed for intake system

Cold Air Intake has now been installed on my son's v6 2002. Not bad for a week. Dual exhaust and CAI. Sounds better, not sure about any increase in power or fuel economy yet. Gee, What's next? ..... ideas?
