I don't think tinting tail lights I like tinting your windows. You can only do it to a certain extent.

You are altering the brightness of your brake lights. If you purposely alter the lights so it makes it more difficult for the person behind you to see you brake lights and you are not using hand signals, you should be held liable for any rear end collision that befalls you. It's illegal to tint your lights whether or not you have been pulled over for it.

In cali it doesn't matter what the law is , it matters on if the cop is in a good mood or not if they are in a bad mood you get a ticket.

Airsoft, what the hell? That's like driving a Honda with a fart can, exhaust & headers. It seems to go fast until a 'Stang GT or Cobra shows up and demonstrates what a .57 Magnum looks like in car form.

Re: Got pulled over for tinted tailights?

Those are pretty dark. I would assume if the actual light can't be seen from the tails then that is good reason. Is it a fix it ticket?

Isnt it like you have to be able to see your brake lights from like 100 feet away during the day? Or something like that?

Re: Got pulled over for tinted tailights?

DrSalt22- depends on the officer. I'm in training to be an officer and it really depends on their knowledge and discretion. when ever i modify my car i assume its not going to be legal to be honest.
Redmustang2007- wow... those are really dark. i would take some lacquer thinner to those and try again....

And when you become an officer please remember one thing that will take you places in law enforcement....everybody is a person...no matter how fast they're driving or how mad they are they're still a person..treat them with respect and you will get respect back...if somebody isn't respecting you continue to respect them and they'll soon come to respect you back...remember you work for us..

Spoken like a truly wise man. Your ole man must be a good cop if he's instilled that kind of honor and compassion into you.
