It would effect emission not all super charger and turbos have an EO number saying it was proven not to affect emission and most people when putting a power adder usually run richer causing the HC in emissions to raise and there for failing emissions.

they only run richer when in boost not at idle. therefore they can pass emissions with no problem. cobras come stock with a supercharger. they pass. cobalt ss comes with a supercharger or a turbo. they pass. my friends supercharged 2500 hd passes. and his didnt come stock with it. superchargers and turbos will not effect emissions testing unless you install it wrong.

They have two types of emissions one at idle and the other on a dyno even to put headers on a car u need one with a EO number and the cars that come stock with power adders are tested for emission but is
Not illegal because it came from the factory like that but for ur friend with the 2500 hd must have had a trick in order to pass emission..... Because I no for a fact that power adders make u fail beside car that come stock with it..... Now replacement parts won't effect emissions but performance parts do if they dnt have a EO #

well at least your on the right track... i am a ford technician. and i perform inspections on vehicles... and i can assure you that a turbo or a supercharger on any car will pass emissions with no problem as long as they are installed correctly, and the dyno envisions you are talking about are for pre 96 vehicles without obd2. cars after 96 do not use the dyno test.

im my honest opinion its a lot of money to put into a v6. you can pick up v8s cheap and build them up and make crazy power. also the transmissions in the v6s are really limited on how much power they can handle. but if you really like your v6 i say go for it. and you will be better with a turbo on a v6 vs a supercharger

Re: Got pulled over for tinted tailights?

I've noticed a lot of people selling thier houses and moving lately a lot of them say they are going to az or nev thats what I want to do just as soon as I am able but I know i will be here the rest of my life . Anyone who lives here and loves it more power to you I just think it is too expensive and getting to crowded.

Hell yes it's crowded, but I'd say most people are moving for financial reasons. Most people got in over their heads with the housing market and really can't afford to live here. I agree with you on that, but I've been around and couldn't have more fun anywhere else.

You should be pulled over for tinting your brake lights. If you get rearended and/or get someone killed, you should be held responsible for altering your brake lights.

It's not your fault if u get rear ended. Plus they're called tinted for a reason so the light can shine through the outside. No cops have ever pulled ne over an I live right next to a police station
