Clutch issue.Hey gu

Hey guys first post on here. I was driving up the road shifted my 2005 v6, 86 000km, into 2nd and the clutch peddle didnt come back up. There has been some jerkyness in first gear when accelerating. Then a screaming noise then the dredded shift into second where it all ended. Funny part was when it happened i didnt want to shut the car off so i had to get to the shop , On the way to the shop there was a one way bridge and a very steep hill after it . I stalled and had to get er towed the mechanic is busy as hell said it will take a week to look at the car. Just wondering if you guys think the clutch is gone and shoud i just order one. i need the car back asap and it could save some time to have the clutch on hand. Thanks.

Re: Clutch issue.Hey gu

sounds like the slave cylinder went out if it is a hydraulic clutch or a clutch spring broke maybe.

Re: Clutch issue.Hey gu

yea check the fluid level that might be most of it, then the linkage if the fluid is ok. Finally look for leaks.

Re: Clutch issue.Hey gu

OEM is fine unless you want more power (above what the clutch can hold)

Your slave gave out. Resurface your flywheel ($40) and get a new clutch, if you have any mods, it's time to upgrade, spec makes some for the 05+ mustangs. The slave cylinder you'll need to get from ford.
