Warrenty Info

So as you all know I just bought my 2008 v6...I want to do only a few things to it (Intake exhaust GT fog lamps and I'm pretty sure it will need to be tuned!). Only problem is I don't want to void the warranty!! Do I have to buy ford racing parts or can I buy parts off american muscle and have ford put them on???

If you tune it ford will void warranty. But a cai and exhaust will not. Just dont buy a cai with a larger maf that requires a tune.

Re: Warrenty Info

you will void the warranty if you tune it.

modifications are a tricky subject...

in a perfect world.... anything you do to a vehicle must be proved to have caused the issue, if you install an intake and your rear end blows up its not the intakes fault so its still covered...but we are not in a perfect world so each dealer will treat it differently. Its a hit/miss kind of thing. You can always go back to stock for dealer services.

Re: Warrenty Info

the tune is the problem, you can easily put the stock intake back on etc, exhaust is probably fine if its just mufflers.

The tune can be traced
