Ford Racing Power Pack

Hi I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. I recently purchased an 09 Mustang V6. I wanted to add a CAI and a true dual exhaust. I saw the Ford Racing Power Pack at AmericanMuscle. Do y'all think that would be a good purchase or can I get something better for that money? I'm also trying not to void any warranty on the car if possible. If anyone has gotten this kit did you get it install at Ford, outside shop, or can it be a DIY project? Thanks

Re: Ford Racing Power Pack

if Ford installed it since its not OEM ford it wont be warrantied (I assume its not being from American Muscle)

the issue I think you will run into is you need to find out if that setup requires a tune, it may. If it does that will void the warranty if Ford find out.

I'm pretty sure it requires a Tune because the package comes with a tuner. I just thought that since it's a ford product and installed by Ford that the warranty would stay intact.

This is the AM link to the kit I'm talking about. http://www.americanmuscle.com/frpp-power-pack-v6.html

Re: Ford Racing Power Pack

ah, if it is a Ford product and Ford does install you may be fine, I was thinking it was just a package american muscle does. You may want to check with Ford, you may have to purchase it through them.... when you ask though tell them you already purchased it but dont have it installed yet so they dont scam you into buying it from them~

Well I just called the Ford Dealership by my house. He said they don't have a yes or no answer when it comes to the warranty being voided. Which to me doesn't make any sense. Then I asked how much for just the install and he said around $500. That's sound a bit ridiculous to me. Just for an install!!!!
