93 octane

Just curious, I've been running 93 octane for 3 months right now from a sct tune. Would permanently running it at 93 octane cause major damage to the engine? (2010 4.0 v6)

It is, I just figured that if the engine was running at higher performance it wouldn't last as long.

Re: 93 octane

the engine is only putting out more hp/tq when you are wide open throttle, normal driving its the same basically as it was before the tune.

Higher performance is a good thing.

Nice job tuning to 93. What kind of mileage have you been getting?
