Yokohama tires

Anyone tried the new Yokohoma Avid Envigor 215/65/16 on thier V6 Mustang? I'm getting ready to replace two tires and find the Goodrichs a little to slippery. Spad

Indapendant consumer reviews gives them 4/5 star rating its one of the largest launches in yokos history with over 60 differant sizes to suit all needs and after looking at the tread design it apears to be a verry solid and well rounded tire. Though i personally have not used this tire we do sell it at my work and i have heard many good things about it so for the price i belive ur makeing a sound decission. Hope i helped some.

Re: Yokohama tires

I've read good things about the tire also. I like Yokohama tires they have stood me well on my trackcars and my other street cars, although they are a different model tire. My favorite other Yoko's don't come in 215/65/16. Thanks for the reply.Spad

Another good tire to look at is the Goodyear Eagle GT. I'm not certain they make that size but those tires were the best upgrade I've made for my 07 so far and i put them through the paces every day. Those things grip the pavement waaaay better than the pirellis it came with. I did read some reviews about noise but between dual exhaust with GT mufflers and the shaker 500, I can't hear anything from the tires.

Re: Yokohama tires

gc19662007. My Mustang has 16" wheels, I'm not interested in buying 17" wheels. I still thank you though for that. Having the bigger wheels opens up a whole new ball game,ha. Thinking possibly going to 235/60/16 tires, makes for more contact patch and more tires.Spad

I just bought a set of Yokohama YK 580's for my 06 v6. I've put just about every aftermarket Bolt-on accessory under the hood. However, I have the oem 16" wheels still but these tires are solid. Rated 580AA and H speed. I can really tell the difference in my ability to take corners at 60 -70 plus in the rain and not feel like I'm about to slide into the the guard rail. I got these to replace the old Dunlop's I had on there. Definitely recommend these for any v6 pony that's an aggressive day to day driver who doesn't want to get a larger wheel.
