Brake Squeal!

ok, my brakes have started squealing/scratching terribly, and it's not the pads, I took off all four wheels and the pads look like new! could it be the hardware?, like a clip scraping a rotor or something?, any help I awesome cause it sounds terrible and it's driving me crazy!!

Is it intermittent or constant? Is it only when you apply the brakes? If its not constant, I'm thinking it could be a warped rotor. Were your rotors cut the last time you changed the brakes?

Maybe someone here has other ideas that could help...

I have the same problem with my 08. I took it to the shop and they said they needed to re-surface the rotor. That only worked for 6 -8 weeks. I'm about to take it back to the dealer so I would love to hear input on this subject also!

so I'm guessing it's gonna be one of those bugs that several people have.
haha I might take it to have my rotors turned, 6-8 weeks would make me happy for now.

Your rotors have hot spots, which is cause by applying the brakes too hard and too often the first 10k miles. The only solution to permanently fix them is too replace them which costs a pretty penny. Ford might cover it for free If your car is still under warranty but otherwise it's around a 650$ fix.
