Methanol injection

Has anyone had any experience with the Snow Performance products? Any input would be helpful i'm on the edge of whether or not to get it later on.

Re: Methanol injection

No experience with them personally, but from what I have read they provide really good horsepower gains when used with supercharged or turbocharged engines.

IMO they are overpriced and too expensive for what you get.
I'm going to use the AFM Mr Freeze on my build.
It doesn't have a pump to supply the pressurized methanol mix to the intake tract, but the system only costs $189 and it will provide the cooling benefits I need to help keep my engine alive.

It was either fast fords or 5.0 mustang that did a review on snow performance systems and from what I read they were really impressed with it, it allowed for a more aggressive tune and allowed for more boost because the air/fuel was coming in at 120 to 130 degrees. They claimed they were running a 116 octane tune on 92 pump gas. Its impressive but I have heard that some tuner guys have blown engines because they got crazy with bending the dynamics of a normal fuel injected motor that and I hear the exhaust has quite the peculiar smell

Yeah the price is what's holding me back the most and if I do get it I'm going to be cautious for sure

They do sell products to keep ur car safe I think it's called safe boost and for whatever reason ur methanol injection fails it will open the blow off valve so u don't blow the engine

I'm planning on getting a SC so I was just wondering if that'd be needed

Depending upon how much boost you throw at it, it may not be needed, but it will help the engine make more power and help prevent detonation.
