Re: my upgrades

Lower it,you will be fine with 20's and the low profile tires. Get a tinted license plate cover,it seems simple but it makes a world of difference and isnt dark enough to be illegal. Its complete visible at night to other cars and police behind you.

Yes,you can pick it up at Autozone. Its just a tinted piece of plastic with now cheesy frame around it so it looks clean. What size tires are you running? I would suggest 1.5 in the front and 1.7 in the back. Ive seen a S197 with that drop and it looked really good,1.5 all around is good also.

Who makes 1.5 1.7? That sounds perfect and 8.5 front and back. 1.5 all around doesn't level the back down so that doesn't seem right for my s197 lol

Wow you have a great taste for just the right customs. Love those cars. The springs look great! Anyways if you have good mods on your 5.0 what do you run a quarter? My uncle is a collector and just sold a 69 Shelby gt350 with a 351 Windsor and in thinking about dropping one of those in my 6banger. Need that american muscle power.

Re: my upgrades

Well im just getting started on the 5.0 and have done CAI and tune,3.73s,Roush axelbacks,FRPP springs,20x8.5 & 20x10 Boss 338 wheels with KDW2s so far. Im pretty happy with HP for now so I dont mind waiting a yr or so for a blower but it will come in time. Never had it at the track and its not a daily driver so I think a few cosmetic mods will come next like a Saleen grill, projectors and gonna have the front windsheild tinted since its legal now. Short shifter will also come before FI.

The 07 had Kooks full exhaust,CAI and tune ect, ect. Im a big fan of "Less is more" so I like to keep my exterior mod simple and clean.

Well hot damn. Once I get out of college and to work at the port im either getting that years 5.0(if they're smart and leave it this time) or a Shelby. Its incredible how much a 5.0 has now compared to the 240HP Fox bodies. Im jealous of your ride

Re: my upgrades

I just stuck my nose to the grindstone and worked extra hard to get that 5.0 It took me a combination of buying/saving/selling/buying again and trading to get what I really wanted. Terminator was my first choice and I looked for a couple yrs until the day I left the house and joked about going to get a new car......I test drove it and brought it home. Be smart about whatever you do though, never spend outside your means or you will set yourself up for failure in the future. I think i will keep the 5.0 for a long time......I still have my 1st car,she is 27yrs old and Ive owned her for 18 yrs.
