Quarter Window Louvers coming off!

I've had my stang for a couple months now... I bought it with the quarter window Louvers already on and the right side seems to be coming off. Unfortunately, I have no experience with attachments like these so I'm not sire what to do. From what I can see its attached by some sort of adhesive strip? Does anyone know what I can use to re-attach the part that's coming off? Or do I have to completely take it off and put it back on? Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

I know the louvers that come from AM are held on by 3M adhesive tape

Re: Quarter Window Louvers coming off!

Get some 3M automotive tape, use a heat gun (on low) or a hair dryer and heat up the louver, run some 30lb test fishing line between it and the body of the car until it comes off. Clean the area on the car and the louver VERY good. Use rubbing alcohol along the area you need to reattach it, apply the tape to louver and carefully reattach it to the car.... voila... done and good as new.

Re: Quarter Window Louvers coming off!

The ones i had were attached with tape and brackets, IMO its best to completely take it off then re-apply it so you don't have to keep going back and fixing the other sections. Might want to take care of it soon, hopefully yours wont pop off on the highway like mine did!

^^^ and What he said, haha!

Thanks guys for all of your advice...I will take care of it ASAP using 3M tape. Its not so bad that it will fall off while I'm driving it just looks tacky with part of the louver hanging off the car.

Re: Quarter Window Louvers coming off!

probably just double sided tape, you can EASILY work them off (use fishing line to run between the sticky etc) then remove all the tap and replace with 3m double sided tape. Clean all the crap off the car as well and run an alcohol wipe over the area then make SURE its aligned right and stick it back on. Once it touches the surface its ON lol so be sure its aligned right.
