These engines are four stroke!... They don't need back pressure!... Only two stroke motors need a certain amount of back pressure!..

when it comes to convertibles you have to ask yourself if you are actually going to use the top

A. The wind messes my hair up
B. Its to cold (when its above 60 deg)
C. Its to hot (when its above 80 deg)
D. Its to noisy
E. I get Sunburn

if any of those DONT buy it

See there's where I see my set backs. But with it being my first car, as such a nice car, I'd defiantly take it over an old beat up car or truck.

U have an 07 convertible and I love
A. You don't buy a mustang if your looking for great cabin acoustics
B.your hair will be perfectly fine if u get a wind deflector
C.use sun screen

Overall verts are awesome the resale value will always be more than a hardtop of the same car plus u get the best of both worlds.

Sweet. I've heard various reports about the Shaker 500 system, which I'm not really worried about that because I've got plans for it. And I'm talking all out

I think he was talking about the electrical issues with it. Some vehicles have had problems.

Wow. What do y'all think of a ken wood double din dash install with 2 kicker 12" subs in the trunk? I hear the subs aren't as loud in convertibles, which sounds reasonable but how much of a difference is their? Even with the top up?

Ken wood makes good receivers and 2 12"s will leave you with no trunk space. A decent sub and amp can sound almost as loud as a double sub.. I have an Alpine type R 10" mated to a JL Audio 500 sub and they can hear me from down the road on low volume. Lol. Just food for thought.

Hmm my cousin has a 2002 mustang gt with 2 kicker 15" subs and that thing will hit! But I'm not trying to blow cars off the road I just want some thump when I'm cruising with the top up or down

Ultimately you just gotta do what you want. But just sayin'.. Single sub setups can hit just as hard as multi-sub setups if done correctly. I would recommend talking to a sound shop; they typically will not try to sell you something you don't need and they will have tons of info and suggestions for you.

If you're in the baton rouge area I would make a visit to Sound Advice. The guys there are great.

I hear ya. You just have to be very careful with wiring if you do it yourself. If you don't have it grounded properly or the fuse or wire gauge is off.. It could damage/kill your equipment or start a fire. I know the latter part from experience..

I had them install my subs into the box, and the whole 8gauge wiring kit wired... And the wiring kit was $60 and install was $60, if I recall. It was reasonable and got a warranty.

If they are the correct ones for your model, and if they are painted and put on right... I personally think they look pretty sharp!..

All the ones from the factory are made of "plastic" too!... Lol. So that should help put your mind at ease!.. But I would either have a shop paint and install them, or have a friend that has experience in paint and body work help you!.. That is if you don't have any experiance yourself!.. But like I said I think they will look good if they are done right!.. Some people don't care for them but it's your ride so you do what you want with it and enjoy!..

Any mods will help!.. It's just unfortunately the V6 just doesn't respond to mods as well as the V8 does!.. But that don't mean to not add what you want to it!.. I have a buddy that has an '06 V6 with all the bolt ons and a built suspension and his car is almost as fast as my GT with just bolt ons!..

Insurance will not account for owner-modifications in their rates. The company has no way to know what you've done to it. I know people with a V6 mustang registered as a V6 but they swapped a v8 into it but still pay v6 insurance.. Lol
