Next purchase HELP!

What's the best thing to purchase with a max $1000. I've got a bama tuner, C&L CAI, Zex Nitrous, axle back borla, headers, screamin' demon coil, and plug wires.

Right now I'm split between 70mm throttle body, 7.5" ford racing traction lock and 3.73 gears, a suspension system like the eibach sport system plus or ford racing power pack, and bigger/slicker rear tires/rims.

Since you have nitrous id say throttle body and and the suspension kit... Then I'd gear it up with a tlok last... And to a 3:55 because ur spraying .. with 3:73s your top end would be cut down and when you spray your wheels would prob just spin being such a steep gear ratio.

Re: Next purchase HELP!

With nitrous you will be blowing up the 7.5 in a short time - don't try to build it up, it will not handle the torque. Just get an 8.8 and swap it in. That will be cheaper than buying a t-lok, gears, and paying to have it all installed than the 8.8 will cost.

Worst modding decision I ever made was trying to build the 7.5. I broke it with just a CAI and set of drag radials; hadn't run a shot of nitrous through it before I broke it.

If you don't have a window switch for your Zex that is the next thing to get, the Zex NMU will read WOT at very low rpm (also learned through experience, lucky for me I lifted as soon as it fired off at 1,000 rpm).

Also, don't bother with the throttle body, even with a power adder they don't do much and some of them will cause you problems.
