I'm having some issues with my fuel gauge..The fuel gauge was working when I was driving down the road then all of a sudden the dial just dropped WAY past empty. And now it just sits there and never moves. Got any ideas?.... Prices to fix?... Thanks everyone.

Could be the floater ball and the sensor.it's a pain to get to and fix. Take it to a body shop.

It is a problem of the 2005s. It is the stepper motors on the cluster. Mine started with the battery then fuel then tach. Recently the speedo. Ford wants about $600-$800 to replace. You can order the steppers off eBay for $6 each. Just a simple fix. YouTube has vids on the whole process. Hope that helps.

The gauge issue is about it. And the water leaking in through the cabin air filter into the passenger floor board. There is a double firewall that collects rain water if you don't clean out the drain holes under the cowl. Other than that everything has been regular maintenance. I now have 112,000 miles on it.
