As long as it isn't over 95 decibels. I think and can't be heard from 50 feet away... If its over then it really is the digression of the cop if they want to be an *** hole or not. I'm pretty sure they are under 95 decibels but i don't know about the 50 feet.

All the same laws apply, my guess is that it is legal because im pretty sure those laws have been adopted by most of the states so they should be legal.

I meant like are v8's naturally louder than 6s or are they about the same?

the v8s stock are louder than stock v6s and with both having same style exhaust the v8 will be louder

i have the pype bombs on my car and it is loud but not illegal loud. if you ever get pulled over by a cop for it you can just say how can you calculate the decibel rating to be able to give you a ticket and motorcycles are waaaay louder than me so you'll be completely fine with them

Do they sound good? And do you pass inspection?

By looking at these, I say they would sound to raspy on a v6 dude!

Beau... I've actually seen high quality videos of 6ers with pype bombs and they surprisingly sound very good, not too raspy. Although I can't make the claim for a fact because I have never seen them in real life but the vids I've seen all sound fantastic.

they definitely aren't too raspy. thats what i was worried about but they really just sound deep and rumbly. thats the only reason why im not getting headers because im so happy with how it sounds right now i dont want to spend money and possibly not have as good of a sound. its all up to you cuz its your car but i love them and would recommend them to anyone

Re: Pype bombs

I agree with Beau, if you should chose to add a pype bomb i would strongly consider adding headers at the same time to make the sound complete
