Just wondering what are my best options to go from a v6 to a v8. And approximately what it may cost to buy a v8 and transmission.

Thanks,

buying a v8 I can help you but a tyranny may be tough, may have to find a country first.

Re: convert my 2006 v6 to a v8

There is a little more to the swap than just a V8 and transmission. There are miscellaneous little pieces to get as well as the driveshaft and 8.8 rear end.

There are lots of guys over at mustangcollective.com though who have done the swap so you can check the progress threads over there. Even some 5.4 swaps being done there.

Please! If you are going to do a v8 swap go w/ the 3v not the 2v... more HP and better fuel economy w/ mods. Or just spend a little more and go w/ the 5.4!

HONESTLY ,Its not like the old fox body days , I used to buy 2.3 4cyl foxes CHEAP , and convert them to 5.0's and 5.8's all the time ,it was cheap and easy
not so anymore , if you really want a v8 , just trade your ride in on one
a lot cheaper in the long run ............
