Driveshaft

Is there a company or website that sells a high performance driveshaft for 4.0 v6?

Re: Driveshaft

I have the 4" aluminum from Shaftmasters (Driveshafts - Custom Made Driveshafts- Aluminum Driveshafts and Steel Driveshafts by Shaftmasters Inc) - great product, great customer service, and the best price.

Re: Driveshaft

Yes they do, and their customer service is the best. If you have an issue they answer the phone.

Re: Driveshaft

Yes it was. It got rid of a vibration from the stock driveshaft, and the only change I made was the driveshaft when I hit the track that weekend and picked up .2. It doesn't give you any more horsepower, it lets you use your available HP more efficiently. The car actually feels lighter on acceleration.

Re: Driveshaft

an aluminum one can save you about 10lbs~ vs the stock one (around 25lbs) thats about like 100lbs of dead weight in the car.

Re: Driveshaft

The difference in weight from the stock to the Shaftmasters was about 28 lbs. You can really feel the difference getting rid of that amount of rotating weight.

I have the 4" shaft $450
Ford Mustang 2005-2010 Aluminum Driveshaft 4" V6 Automatic Ultra Lightweight

They make a 3.5" as well and that costs a little more. It takes a little more engineering to give it the same strength as the 4"

I'd rather be safe with the 4"
