Brake Calipers

I'm just wanting to see what color I should paint my calipers. When I get my tires put on my Saleens I want to paint them. What color should I go for?

That's what I want to do, but everyone paints theirs red. Might as well be me too.

I painted mine black to add to the blacked out look of my car. They were almost completely visible when I put my bullitt rims on so i painted them to get them to blend back in.

If my rims had not been black I probably would have painted my calipers red as well

I thought about that too. Because I recently bought Saleens, and you'd be able to see the entire thing.

I just bought this kit yesterday to do mine

Not too artistic so I'm hoping I do alright. Oh and it was only $27 but I saw just the spray can stuff for like $8 bucks. I bought this kit because it says it's ceramic and I'm hoping it'll handle heat better

I'm eventually going to black out my car so I think it's a good plan. And I'm just gonna buy some high temp cans of spray paint and do that. My brother and cousin. Did that. And it only cost them 10 bucks maybe.

Make sure ya clean em good, I've heard that's the most important part if you want the paint to last

Re: Brake Calipers

red/black are about the only colors that look good on a dark or black car

When I did my calipers I took the rims off put some newspaper up did a very light sand and painted the calipers without having to disconnect the break lines.
One day I'd like to get them powder coated but my paint job was only about 10 dollars for the heat resistant paint from my local autozone which is much cheaper than powder coating

I'm just curious. I saw some colored clip on for the calipers. I wonder if they are any good?

Any truth to more heat buildup with caliper covers? I figure powdercoat them for comparable price to covers. Going grabber blue to match my paint, with black Saleens.

EDIT: For black cars, I like red, blue or yellow but Id personally match it with an interior or engine compartment color scheme, if you've got any going on. If not, but plan to, consider that.
