car alarms

My mustang never came with an alarm system. Any recommendations on DIY systems I can install? I was looking at bulldog security but I want to check with everyone first.

I've got one called "Ready Remote", it's made by Viper, but it's a cheaper version, only like $60 and it works fine. it can be set to be sensitive enough to go off for a loud truck, and it's a straight forward install.
it also has the cool 7 different siren sounds

KarrTrack has something better than a LoJack. They'll install a GPS tracker so you can find your car if it's stolen, plus the shutdown feature that LoJack provides. Their GPS will also tell you where the car has been, where it went, and how fast it was going inbetween. You can also set Safety Zones that will alert you if your car leaves or enters them.

These guys will even schedule an appointment to come to you (provided you have work space available) or meet you at a dealership to do the installation.

I don't know exactly how you would get ahold of them to initiate the purchase because I just got mine purchased/installed when I bought The Mustang last week.

Edit: When i get home from work in a few hours, I'll check my paper work and provide a website or phone number for you.
