weird sound

when I wait a little too long to shift from 1st into 2nd, I often hear a little rattling noise from under the car. is that normal? i had the dealer check it when I last had the car serviced (car is under manufacturer warranty for another 2k miles) but they told me all seemed fine. any ideas what it might be?

I had a similar problem when going from 3rd to 5th and 2nd to 4Th in my 06 5-speed. Turned out to be the hydraulic clutch bearing

Exhaust is hanging fine, no heat shields rubbing?

I have the same problem. It sounds like a rattle coming from bellow the shifter. My car is automatic.

I think your all hearing the obnoxiously loud timing chain that connects the half shaft to the cams on the back side of the engine on the v6's. Either that or your using crappy gasoline and hearing pings.
