convertible repair

I did a search but didn't find what i was looking for. I noticed on my convertible top that i have some stitches gone and when i washed the car water comes inside the car. Question is do I have to replace the whole top or can i get it fixed another way. If i have to replace the whole top that would be a bummer but if i do I will switch it to a black top hahahaha. Thanks in advance for your info.

I guess it depends on how big the Rip is. If its on the seam u can probably have it sewn back. And if it's a slash, I've seen a couple people getting another piece of that plastic stuff that the top is made out of and glueing it to the top from the bottom and use it to join the 2 cut sides. If u join the 2 ends together tight enough the slash will be unnoticeable and most importantly, water proof
