Getting my spinners to SPIN

The spinners on my "aluminum wheels w/chrome spinner" that came with the '05 Premium don't spin freely. I just got it a few weeks ago so I'm sure they are dirty or gunked up from the previous owners. Any of you guys done a manual cleaning or repairing of these spinners? Got some tips or a video available?

Re: Getting my spinners to SPIN

They don't actually spin on the hub. They are supposed to pretty much just turn with the wheels when you are driving. You can manually rotate them but they don't spin, you have to push them out of the way to get to the lug nuts - there is a spring like clip that holds them in place.

IMO take those spinners off, the only car that should have those are ghetto cars with 30" wheels.

Y'all are crazy... I have these and they are sweet... Just wish they were real... They are modeled after the Ac cobra race cars... They were a quick disconnect lug nut...

I have the stock rims, but it has that tri-star spinner in the middle. I assumed that they would spin freely but apparently they don't. It appears some people got offended that I would think a spinner should spin....

The original term "spinner" was used for what you have. Its been around long before this stupid spinner rims thing. And it does spin, as you drive it...

These are not supposed to spin. Historic wheel caps from ~67 era fastbacks

I all ways heard them called knock offs. Because when they were used as a center lug people would hit them with something to knock them off.

So because I don't have a Mustang that somehow makes me dumb? Real tough playing the "he doesn't even have a mustang" card... For the amount I know about Mustangs without even having one and the amount you know with having one i would say your knowledge is seriously slacking "bro"... There are plenty of people on here that will back me up and all you've got is your "I've got a mustang and you don't". Real mature dude.

Try living where I live, once you do then you will be able to use the word, don't try to say i don't know what it means because you don't know anything about me.

Ok yes what i thought what you were talking about was actual things that spin on the wheels because he originally asked how he could get them to spin... And off that everyone gets offended and starts getting personal.

How do you know that you know more about my car then me? Cuz you have different preferences then me? I just dont like the fact you tell people to put mods on a car you don't have and only research about. That and you act like your a mustang God with out a mustang. Its ridiculous

They have more than enough people on here without stangs that are very helpful to a lot of people. That's not a reason to bash on someone who has a common interest.

I don't give a fu...ck where you're from the use of the word ghetto in the context you used it in is degrading to only 2 groups of people and I don't think you're talking about Jews this time. Not everything that comes from the ghetto or projects is bad I grew up in the ghetto but now live in the suburbs working on my second degree from a top ranked school in the New Orleans area, with plans of opening my own business in the next year! But I guess even with all that I guess I would still be "ghetto" because my taste in car rims is slightly different than yours! O and by the way, I see more of those dumb looking *** cars with huge rims being driven by the young white men out here in the suburbs than I ever did in the ghetto.

I think I'm a mustang God? Who is the one doing all the bashing here? If anyone is trying to prove themselves to be a "God" then id definitely isn't me. Get it straight.
